Sheesh...guys...don't answer if it offends your sensibilities. How in G*d's name do you think manufacturers make their products? By market research perhaps???!

In the spirit of sharing, I use internal. Once I got to grips with it I like the cleaner feeling and you can swim and stuff with them too. Well, provided you could swim in the first place haha.

I use a menstrual cup, specifically a Mooncup.

I 'suffer' from menorrhagia (heavy periods) so anything else involves changing all the time and leaking, which is very inconvenient, where as with a menstrual cup I can leave it in for up to 12 hours without leaking, I can also wear it at night and before my period is due. Mostly I wear one because they are safe, unlike tampons that are very bad for vaginal health and can contribute to menstrual cramps, I used to use commercial tampons and pads and so had constant infections, where as with a cup I haven't had a single infection in over three years (the length of time I've been using a cup). Also because the Mooncup is a reusable cup it means as well as more convenient it is a hell of a lot cheaper than commercial or organic pads and tampons, it's also much better for the environment because it means a lot less waste and no cutting down trees or polluting the earth with chemicals as you would get with commercial tampons and commercial pads.

I sometimes use other things as well, such as if I am at home I will use cloth pads (Lunapads) or plain old free-flow (I am trying to use free-flow instinctive), but for the most part I prefer internal menstrual options because I feel more comfortable with them as to me they are a lot less messy to deal with my heavy flow. I will sometimes use either softcups (Instead) or my diaphragm as a menstrual cup if I am going out because then I can have sex with them in without making a mess, which is a lot easier than trying to avoid making a mess with a partner when I am drunk, lol.

FYI I posted a question like this a little while ago [see below] and got the same sort of reactions, some people are just immature and brainwashed into thinking periods are dirty shameful things you shouldn't talk about...not realising how important it is we do talk about such things. http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AlJPY09QIAdCOSi6of_S9XogBgx.?qid=20060625111657AA7kOJf

...and no, my reply can never be simple with a question like this, it is what comes with being a menstrual activist for so long *grin*

Don't know how some girls wear external protection. It puts a hold on your life for one week every month but whereas internal means you can continue life as norm! You feel everything and very uncomfortable with external and internal you don't even know you are on. There is no toxic substances that you need to worry about if you use them correctly. How many people do you know who have got ill or died from using tampons?!

I always use internal and would never go back!

It doesn't happen actually. External worship is from gratitude, not a process of purification but rather sanctification. An analogy would be. Someone paid for your crimes so you can live a free life, and you no longer do the deeds of a criminal but a good standing citizen. The good citizen act is not so you can earn freedom, but a result of you being free in the first place. So Jesus paid for your sins so you can live a second chance, a new life. AKA = Born Again.

Both. Tampons are more discreet and you can get on with life without your period getting in the way. I also feel fresher. But I also use pads because of the TSS assosiated with tampons, You need a break from them.

Unless I'm swimming or it's the end of my period, I prefer pads. Please excuse my overshare, but tampons always leak down the string. Plus, Always Ultra Thins have yet to let me down --- they are super absorbent, not bulk, and with a bit of FDS don't smell. ALSO, I tend to cramp more with Tampax.

Internal. More privacy, not smelly, easy to carry etc. About TSS, if you change it regularly, it will be fine except you're very sensitive then you will need to change it more often. The longest time you can leave it inside your body is 8 hours.

tampax because you Carnot feel them or what is going on inside pads stain your skin make you smell and nappies are for babies and no one ever knows you got the painters in if you use tampax but the applicator ones are the best i think less messing about and you wont hurt yourself
