This does not pertain to those that haven't been proven guilty, but for the ones that have been.... People are paying a lot of money to insure that they are in a safe environment.... and that their KIDS are. For those that say they did their time for their crime..... look up the statistics on pedophiles and you would know they rarely "rehabilitate".

Maybe the laws should be revised to "3 strikes & you're CASTRATED" - or something along those lines!!!

It does seem sad that people are having to resort to such drastic measures these days in order to protect themselves & their families from predators. From what all I've read - and heard - on shows like "Nancy Grace" (who's GREAT, btw!) - pedophilia is virtually incurable; they're "hard-wired" that way! It's a problem - and a BIG one. More needs to be done to keep these sickos from re-offending once they've been caught. There HAS to be some kind of effective deterrent!

By prohibiting you mean will not allow the pedo to live anywhere in the community. If this is the meaning even though I agree with it, am not sure how legal it is. As an example only, lets say this pedo molest a girl/boy. HE is found guilty and does his times in jail. He gets released and goes comes back home to HIS HOME which he owns. TELL me how the town/city/government is going to stop him from moving back into his own home?
And PLEASE don't misunderstand me, I am NOT defending pedo's in the least. They are sicko's and it needs to be addressed. BUT I think a better solutions would be ONCE convicted beyound any doubt. like with DNA evidence then their unit should be removed from their body. END of problem. They will now have to sit down to go to the bathroom forever.

I am a jail guard in Canada, first off so my answer may and will be a bit tainted. We have institutions in Canada that specialize in "Rehab" for pedophiles, rapist etc. HUG A THUG is how it is referred to. These men sit in group and describe in detail what they did and how it made them feel. It is supposed to be therapeutic what a load of crap. All it does is teach them new ways to hurt children and women.

I believe people have the right to be safe in their homes and in their lives in general. I believe we have the right to know when a pedophile is been shipped into our neighborhoods (because it is deemed a haven for him/her), I believe we have the right to tell the powers that be to get him/her the hell out of our town................however I also believe that castration isn't a bad thing in some cases.

Most places prohibit paedophilia, don't they? Some of those places, the US is a good example, are gruesome. Don't live there.

I think that its a great plan. I would be much much more likely to move there. If businesses made it a point not to hire this scum, I would also be certain to spend my money there as well.
