King Harold took one in the eye on Saturday Oct 14th 1066. Do you need the time too?
Saturday, Sunday or Monday it didn't matter it was a bad day for him!

Dates have changes since 1066, 12 days were removed when our modern calender was implemented, so what ever date you get add 12 days to find out the read day of the week.

Lol...everyone thinks it was King Harold.....who died in that same year as Harold the Shoemaker of Sussex (and sole propietor of Sussex Shoes & Cheese Niblets). Anyhow, Harold the Shoemaker died on a Thursday afternoon when putting together a shoe, he accidentally hit his thumb with his hammer, jerked the hammer back and his himself in the forehead. Then he took 2 steps back, slipped on a cheese niblet that someone dropped and fell, striking his head, which rendered him unconscious before he fell into the fireplay (which was lit).
Shortly there afterwards, Sussex Shoes and Cheese Niblets went out of business.

monday at 11.42am ,1066 . it was my ancestor who got him accidently in the eye
what happened was as the battle was unfolding harold was whisked away by seven of his knights from the main part of the battle to a safe distance mean while my ancestor was practiseing archery with his nephew unfortunately my ancestor accidently missed the target and the arrow flew some distance further with his long bow and hit poor harold in his left eye ball he screamed very loud fell to the ground and begged to be finished off so one of the knights quickly shoved the arrow in further and then broke the arrow and my ancestor legged it to winchester .
