You've got a lot of facts wrong.
#1 It's the Mayan Long Count calendar everyone says is ending, not the Aztec. The Aztec didn't use the Long Count.
#2 The Long Count is NOT ending. The 12th Baktun is ending. It's like when our calendar went from 1999 to 2000, except that a Baktun is 396 years long. So on 12-21-2012, the Long Count date will be 13.00.00.00.00. The next day will be 13.00.00.00.01 (Today is 12.19.13.9.2).
#3 I would like a citation for the "scientists" saying the world will end in 2012. I think that would have made CNN.
#4 Also happening on 12-21-2012, which you didn't mention, is a grand astronomical alignment which only happens every 26,000 years--a conjunction with the rising Sun and the dark area of the Milky Way on the winter equinox. To the Maya, this signified a new world age (not the ending of an old one).

Gregorian calendar is not an accurate time to date the exact end of the world! Scientist might know the exact date but that is a top secret to avoid human depressions that affects the living of the world population and become panic!

It's not going to be the end. It's going to be a new beginning of intense spiritual awareness. The earth needs to be cleansed in preparation for the New Age. That's why all the conflict is going on. Everyone needs to be on the same page in order to get to the next level. That means everyone needs to make amends with one another. There is always a better way to handle conflict and it's human choice to go to war and wreak havoc. The world will not end. It will be a paradise for the ones who survive.

It is a little scary, people's mental states are changing. There is way too much tragedy and sick minded people in this world. I say God is the only one who knows when Earth will be destroyed and living your life wondering when that will happen is no life at all. Life is too short, enjoy every day as if it were your last. I hope we are here for many many years too come however, we will never know
