There are only 26 letters in the English alphabet, numbers are limitless, Ah 1, 2, Ah, 1,2,3,4

well, besides the fact that each was designed for its own purpose. like why you dont walk on your hands. you can if you want to but you're just troubling yourself.
anyway, although following the english ABC you can permute 26 letters to count your days, its not as orderly as 0-9 and infinity.
also if you're speaking abt the phrase "your days are numbered" then duhh.. its to be counted down.
plus, your days are "lettered", monday, tuesday, wednesday, friday, saturday, sunday..

Because we all have a finite number of days until we die. We don't use letters to count in these parts.
