It's called "Hesbollah" and it's not a place. It's "the Party of Allah" a Lebanese Shia organisation who wants to fight Israel to the death, ever since Israel occupied South Lebanon in the '80-s. But Hesbollah is not only a guerilla organisation;it also has a welfare/charity section and acts as a political party representing the Shia in Lebanon. Israel withdrew from Southern Lebanon some years ago and Hesbollah claimed credit for that. Since that, Hesbollah established itself as a real force in Lebanese politics and they have infrastructures everywhere. Now they kidnapped some Israeli military in the border region between Lebanon and Israel. Israel thought this was reason enough to pound all of Lebanon with bombs apparently targetting Hesbollah infrastructure but not caring in the least for civilian casualties. Hesbollah in return hits Northern Israel with missiles. It's a war between Israel and a well-organised guerilla, with innocent civilians being caught in the middle.

The united nations decided to form a new country in 1945 after hitler massacre of the Jews ,Jews were immigrating to Jerusalem . After the u n made Israel a state by kicking all the Palestinians out of there own land and sending them to Lebanon and else where . The Arab population didn't take kindly to the Jews getting Israel as thier part of the divided territory was shoddy in comparison with what the Jews got ,the Jews got the two most religious cities on earth Jerusalem and Bethlehem while the Arabs got mountains and dessert. A war started immediately and has been going on ever since the Hezbollah are fighting for the rights of the Palestinian people . I don't condone war but the UN was wrong to do this to the Palestine Lebanese people. I cant see a solution.

Once upon a time there was a tribe of arabs who claimed that their god promised that they could live in the lands between the coast and Lake Galilee. Unfortunately the land belonged to other tribes, notably the Philistines (ancient Palestinians) and Canaanites. There were lots of viscious wars which the jewish tribe eventually won.
For many years all the tribes live together in intermingled communities even during the Roman occupation and later the Ottoman (Turks) empire. The whole area became known as Palestine.
The winners of WWII thought it would be a good idea if jewish arabs could have their own specific land called Israel and take a large chunk of Palestine - unfortunately they did not ask the Palestinians.
The Palestinians were understandably miffed and found they could not militarily shove the Israelis of their land so they turned to terrorism. The PLO was mostly based in Lebanon. In 1982 the Israelis went into Lebanon to flush out the PLO, which they did. The PLO set up shop in Gaza and sort of 'tansmogrified' into the current Hamas group.
Lebanese arabs did not want noisy neighbours and formed a group called Hezbollah to sucessfully get rid of the Israelis.
Both Hamas and Hezbollah still hate the Israelis (plus the USA who supply their weaponry) and so do the Iranians and Syrians who supply arms to the militant groups.
Since Israel pulled out of Gaza and Lebanon both Hamas and Hezbollah have been lobbing Iranian rockets into Israel because they don't like them. Israel is fed up with it and has gone after Hezbollah like it did the PLO twenty odd years ago.

Basically, these 2 countries border each other and don't get on because of this and there different religious beliefs. They have been fighting for years but nothing like this has happened for a long time. Blame Bush for this as he wants rid of certain governments in the middle east so American oil companies, who actually run America, can set up there and produce there oil because America is running out and they don't want to, in years from now when there oil does run out, have to ask the Arab countries for there oil. this would make American and western life dependant on them and ultimately, making these countries the most powerful in the world. and America doesn't want that!
soooo, he has told Israel to hit Lebanon with everything it's got, and yes, America have been sending **** loads of bombs over for them, via Scotland! and yes bush says Iran and Syria are helping Hezbollah, so they are terrorists? what about you fucker!
he wants rid of these countries and he knows they will help out Lebanon and as soon as they do it, America will have an excuse to cripple them, pretend they are liberating there countries, e.g. Iraq and this happened for basically the same reasons. until they suck them dry of all there energy.
this is what is basically happening, in plain English. just so the yanks can drive there 5 litre cars to the shops for copious amounts of meat

Basically the Hezbollah was founded by Iran’s regime at first just to terrorising the region because their main slogan is to wipe up Israel from the region , but do You think that Iran’s regime has that military power to wipe out the Israel from the region?

It unfortunate that Iran’s regime is taking a advantage of Hezbollah to attack Israel to re-direct the international attention from their Nuclear crisis. At the end is just ordinary innocent people will be killed not the leader of Islamic groups which just spread hatred in the region and world. The main way to stop violence and hatred is to help Iranian people to get rid of state terrorist that oppressed them daily.
