No. If it makes a difference at all (and it's not clear that it does), it only *slightly* increases the likelihood of conceiving.

Orgasm is is complete satisfaction experienced by a women. Every part of her body is tingling and her mind is blank, with no other thoughts crossing her mind except that she is enjoying this sexual bliss. Intercourse is one way that a women has an orgasm, but, she may also experience the same during foreplay, caressing, fondling,or by her partner fingering her vagina gently then a little vigorously arousing her sexually by stimulating her G spots. On the other hand intercourse is inserting ones penis into a females vagina for sexual satisfaction, producing sperm which if comes in contact with a fertile ova will get a female pregnant.
As a female may experience orgasm even without having intercourse,it is not necessary to have an orgasm to get pregnant.

There's just something wrong with someone asking a question like this. Consider this, you're probably the kind of person who really doesn't need to get pregnant... as are most of the people who buy the "sex for dummies" books... ugh...

Though, every single person who has answered is right, but there is a caveat. When a woman has an orgams, the contractions occur in the cervix as well, it in effect "dips" into the "pool" of semen that's left from male orgasm and can directly increase the odds of pregnancy...

no. It is good because during orgasm the cervix dips into the birth canal and gathers up the semen so it gets to its destination quicker, but it is not imperitive.

All you need is one sperm and one egg, you just need to make sure they are both in the right place at the right time.

No. In fact, there's no need for ejaculation, either. A woman can become pregnant from the pre-ejaculate that comes out during intercourse, before the man climaxes.

To avoid a pregnancy, use a condom. Especially if you don't know a lot about sex. PLEASE.

Not necessarily however once I read in a book that it says if you and you husband climax at the same time, the contraction in the woman's cervix will help the swimmers swim up, like it pushes them up, maybe that's whay the myth.
