That's something that always bothered me...everyone wants experience, but how do you get experience without being able to get a job.
Look for jobs that state "willing to train" or "no experience necessary". Some businesses would rather have someone they can train to do the job the way they want it done. Start small. Stay as long as you can. The length of time you stay at a job looks good on a resume. Look into Labor Union apprenticeship programs. They train you and help you find work.
Good luck!

Depends, if you are in desperate need for money than it could be hard. But if you can handle living off the state for a little while try volunteering. Pick a volunteer position in the job you are interested in such as driving, shop retail, working with children. There is always somewhere looking for volunteers, spend a month or two building up the relevant experience (and feeling good about yourself). Then apply for a paying job, you can use the organisation you work for as a reference and it makes your c.v. look fabulous and you get to help people into the bargain. Everybody wins!
Now before anyone tells me I'm being cynical or abusing a charity. Many charities know this happens and in fact encourage it because they get the extra pair of hands they need and if they are lucky they might get someone to continue volunteering even when they become employed. You might even get a job within the charity.
Well that's one possibility.

depends on your age if your a school leaver then they won't expect much experience, write on spec asking if they are looking for school leavers. if your older and looking for a career change emphisize transferable skills. I know it can be fustrating when your knocked back from a job a retarded chimp could do blindfolded because of experience but the truth is for any job the employer has the pick of loads of people with experience so its hard to break in. look for jobs advertised as "no exp required" or "full training provided" . new companies moving into the area are a good place to look as there is often not the skills base in the area and they have to train. companies with a high turn over of staff are worth a look too.

Catch-22: you need experience for a job and can get a job with experience.

Depends what you want to do, I work for Yahoo now but when I started working with online company's I had absolutley no experience!
It all about enthusiasm, go for the job you want, then research the co. & their competitors, come up with some questions re: the company's ideas for the future etc
Start with a Recruitment consultancy tell them what you want, try http://www.jobsite.co.uk
Good Luck

Try filling out an application form for a start.
Bar work is easy to get. You really need any experience for that and then just take it from there.
Good luck.

you start low with a job that requires none. for example i want to become a statistician so i became a survey operator. all you have to do is talk to people, no experience required. but two years later when i went for an interview as a statistician they were impressed by my time as a survey operator.

Be a hot chick (the hotter you are = the more easy street lifestyle you can get), kiss butt prodigiously or be born very rich.
