Have a go with a hair dryer the heat softens the glue and most of the time if you get it warm enough it should come off without leaving too much mess, start at one end then peel as you move the heat along, if your unfortunate enough to be left with some sticky most motor factors will stock panel wipe or similar bodyshop solvent that will remove it without damaging the paint. Once all traces have been removed dont forget to use a good paint removator (autoglym is quite good) or mild cutting compound to remove any oxidation and help the paint blend in where the stuff under the trim hasn't been exposed to sunlight, then finally polish the whole area as any solvents or compounds will have removed any polish protection from the paint. Good luck take your time and remember if you dont like it you can always stick em back on!!!

Hi here we have yet another classic mistake as spark plugs come in different thread lengths and different heat ranges. a plug could be a long reach plug with a high heat range it will not fit in a cylinder head which is designed for a short reach plug doing so will seriously damage a piston in the engine. also if you get the wrong heat range a misfire will be a certainty as well or worst still fine when the engine is cold but a misfire when it gets hot. so when you look at it by all means buy the right spark plug from a vauxhall dealer and fit them yourself. as yes labour charges are what some consider expensive. if it does go wrong or you are no good with spanners it may end up back with the garage to fit.

The trim is held on by double sided tape.

The bad news is, and I found out the hard way, is that when you park you are fair game for anyone opening then door and denting yours, I got paranoid with a TVR and ended up parking at the far end of every supermarket car park

If you're going to smooth the doors anyway you'll be doing a paint job, right? so even if it is poppers you can fill them, smooth it and commence paint job. Will, in fact, probably be harder to remove sticky **** left by tape rather than filling the holes. enjoy.

Yeah a lot of manufacturers just use tape, even Audi. But it is a be-atch to remove. You can buy purpose made solvents to remove the adhesive, thats how manufacturers de-badge cars if they're stock cars that were badged from the factory.
Good luck.
