Your perception of what 'old' is changes with your age. I specifically remember being in my early 20's and thinking that 30 was a defining milestone in terms of older. Now I'm in my mid-30s and I'm not even feeling that 50 is so old. My perception is that there is less of a difference between ages than my perception was when I was younger. People in their 40's and 50's still have goals and struggles just like people in their 20's or 30's do. Some of them are the same struggles and goals.
I will say that I've had a sudden comprehension that I don't have as much time as I once believed I did. I have more of a belief that I need to start prioritizing and chasing some of my goals more so than I did in my 20's.

There's this awesome quote that goes: "I'm an old man...nearly 40."
And no, I didn't make it up. But really, IMO, I think it only matters if you LOOK old. There are a lot of 18 year olds who already have wrinkles cuz of too much sun exposure. Then there are 26, 27, 28 year olds who look 16. It just depends on if you take care of yourself or not.

Thirty....old? Na...na. Marriage life is like wine, gets matured over years and always is tasty. In your society where marriage is for convenience, it may look a little old but in our societies, only after a person reaches around 45( or about 15-20 years of married life) can some how tell others-"during my time............".If you have achieved maturity along with your greying hairs and can see the world impartially, you are considered "past youth" You are considered "old" when your second childhood starts-fighting, crying,cursing...etc.

I'm your age. I agree with stereotype. I'd take guys like Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt and Eddie Vedder over any guy my age or younger, and they are all like 42 or 43. Granted, they have alot of money, but when I look around, I don't remember any guys looking like those three guys when I was a kid. I think guys are keeping it together much longer now that in the past.

Johnny Depp and Brad Pitt are in their early 40s--I don't think that you have much to worry about for awhile. Medical advances and exercise technology are keeping people younger for a much longer time today than in past generations.
Those two guys are still the top sex symbols among women 18 to 40.

I cried at 30, and laugh at 40! I'm just now finding my youth and enjoying it! Old is when you fall into that rocking chair, it's what you make it. I'm still very young at heart, mind, body and soul and won't be ready for that rocker for at least another 30 years and when I do find it, I'm going to be one hot sexy grandma!

I am 72 in my head, 52 in my heart and 32 lower down. Age is how you feel, never mind the number of years.

NO!! Sixty is old..but then again, my grandma is sixty person and she's more full of life then most 30 somethings i know. You aren't old until you adopt the old lifestyle, until you believe that you are. You can be as young as you feel!! I say, forever 29!!
