I've found it cheaper to get the customer to arrange collection on a return load basis.

I pass on the saving (honest!) , and they get all the hassle.

The other way would be more profitable. The cost of living in the UK is much higher than in Czech Rep. and significantly higher than in Germany. You'd be better off buying goods in Czech and transporting them here.

In fact, at the moment there is a big market in London for Czech (but far more for Polish) products and produce, as there are more and more Czechs and Poles moving to London now that they are in the EU. My friend (who is Polish) has recently moved back to London after 2 years away, and was amazed. He moved to Ealing and, in his words "Polish people have taken over! Even Hindu shop keepers say hello to me in Polish!".
