What parts of our history do you think are ignored or glossed over in our schools?

yes. our young people need to know the past history of this country so that they can develop a great pride in their own nation and the cultures that grew up in this country.

Our youth seem to be more aware of what is happening in other parts of the word than what is happening right here. Many of them can name several president of the usa... but not as many prime ministers of australia.

Our history is a rich diverse cultural heritage for our children.

Yes, it should be compulsory. Why learn history? Here's a quote:

"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." True.

As we look back at our history, we should recognise our errors, and learn from them. Do you think that sufficient attention is given to the role of the Aborigine population, and their history? Or, does our history gloss over anything that is pre colonzation? What about the roles and hardships of indentured servants?
