american cars are neither worse nor better made then a foreign model car it just depends on how u treat it... of course when u go out and by a honda civic its gonna last longer than a dodge neon the honda cost more... if u were to go buy to cars same price treat them the exact same they should both run as long as each other no matter who makes it

What we think of today as "Japanese management" was actually originated by an American. Japanese companies use the Deming method of quality control and continual improvement-"kaizen"l. Dr. Edwards Deming was American, but US companies weren't interested in his ideas so he went to Japan and became a hero.

The Japanese are the most amazing people in the world. The entire island is full of disciplined people and they apply precision to everything they do. European cars are nice but they aren’t as reliable as most say they are. This is my theory as to why:

The only people who can afford cars from Europe are the same people who bye the newest model and they do that every year. The car has no time to get messed up.

This all came from a Caucasian who has lived in California all his life, and drives a dodge made in a Mitsubishi factory in America.

Well, you could say the same thing about Japanese vs English cars (I'm English), or Japanese vs French cars, or whatever. They are just better designed and better made. Simple as that.

They are just better. What I don't understand is that the Honda's are actually manufactured here in the US, so why are they so much better?

Because the reliability of American big business has gotten so bad.

i personally favor british and german cars. the construction of the car might be more precise and is better because they might have better technology. And european vehicles and japaneese are better altogether then american except maybe the hummers

Because you buy the cheapest model they offer. Or because you bought a Ford Focus!
