Apart from at home in the spare room or at my work (recording studio) the band I play in sometimes rehearse in the function room above a local pub

It's worth asking around as most pubs have empty space upstairs that they're happy to hire out at a reasonable price. We pay £20 for two hours

have a look in the directory and see where ur nearest rehearsal studios are, they usually hire u a room for a few hours for a set price.. its worth ringing around to find the best deal as some places do special prices during their least busy hours and some will be able to hire u backline as well, some u may have to take all ur own gear, amps, leads etc

Yellow arches in Sheffield.

It's where the Artic Monkeys started out, hence the song.. when the sun goes down. When the band first started there the studio guys said about the area that it all changes when the sun goes down. sure does!! Sheffields main red light area.

try asking local pub or club if you can put on a free gig for them. as long as your music is not to noisy or offensive, you should get a gig somewhere, may even become a regular gig for you.be persistant, everybody starts somewhere.
