My boyfriend lives in Western Germany and I'm going to move there soon. I earn very well here teaching Business English and having experience with companies like Microsoft, Intel, Gemini Film and some worldwide famous banks.but I heard that they prefer only native speakers of English in Europe and the competition is rather high. Any info at first hand?

Ah-mmmm... my wife is a German school teacher. First they have the two schools you already know about: gymnasium and trade school. Everything, and I mean everything in Deutschland, is a piece of paper certificate with a rubber stamp on it. Every job has a diploma. To get a permanent residency in Germany requires you show proficiency in German. The teachers workinig now are, oddly enough, all about the same age group and will put a burden on the system in the next 10 years as they retire en masse. Nowadays the government jobs look rather attractive to recent university grads and from appearances it would seem only those with a very high grade are getting any kind of apprenticeship.

Having said all that. Germany has a continuing education system that is almost as big as their public school system. That is where the opportunities will be for your situation in my estimation. Again, learn German.

If u are still a native English speaker and you come from a rich(er) country, there might be some possibility for you.
Also you could marry him first and that will give you a residence permit, which basically equates you to an EU-citizen on such matters. In both cases, though, it may take some time before you get all the paperwork done. Good luck to you!
