because when you lose something that you hold so dear to your heart, a piece of it is missing that is what causes the hurt. sometimes it can be so unberable that you feel that you will never move on, never breath again, never love again, like there is no life in you at all, you feel drained. it takes alot out of you emotionally, physically and mentally. then one day that shinning little rainbow appears over the dark clouds and you can feel yourself smile again, though try as hard as you might, you cannot resist it. and you feel that hurt start to slowly slip away, you feel that first breath of air start to rush through you again. it's as if your heart is beating again and not just a lump in your chest.
you will move on.

As the saying goes "Absence makes the heart grow fonder". So when you lose someone or something that is close to you, you tend to have a heavy or broken heart feeling. The kind of feeling that only you yourself can experience and which no one can help you to get out off. It also means that you have emotions unlike some people who do not give a damn about losing someone or something.

Think of the times you yourself have wondered, when a relationship went wrong, "What's wrong with me?" or "Why can't he/she love me?" -- because at some very basic level we believe that if only we could be better, be the best little girl or boy in the world, then Mommy/Daddy/whoever would love us the way we want to be loved.
How much more comforting, in a perverse way, it is to believe it is some flaw in us that keeps us from receiving what we so long for than to accept that we have no power to make another give to or love us.
If I let go of my belief that it is something in me that makes me unlovable, then I must accept being weak, unable to change how another feels or acts. And that leaves me at the mercy of their feelings and means that maybe I can't have what I want from everyone.
What pain at the "heart of me".

It not literally your heart that hurts, cause doctors can't fix it with medication or a operation. It feels like your heart cause it is the middle of your being. It is your soul that hurts as that is the middle of who you are, your true identity. Hope it heals soon.
