Yeah, but these people will start saying that as soon as someone sneezes. Jehovah's Witnesses, for example, have made numerous incorrect predictions of Armageddon, and keep changing the parameters of their religion in order to keep it going after such obviously erroneous "revelations".

Any time a war breaks out (that involves Western Europe, Israel or North America - no one made any apocalyptic ramblings over Angola, Rwanda, Iran/Iraq or the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, to name but a few) these various groups will start claiming that the end is nigh and the four horsemen will begin their steady canter to the earth while Soddom and Gomorrah rise from their ashes and a thousand eyed lion roars for the final time. Or something.

They just can't deal with reality, so they invent a timescale by which they will only have to deal with it for a short period. This makes their lives easier, because they don't have to plan for the future or think about the consequences of their actions like normal people.

undergo in options the myth of the servants and the skills (and few understand lately that a expertise replaced into each and every of the expensive metallic one guy ought to carry for an afternoon's walk). The lesson of solid stewardship might want to be the first and optimal on your options if you're a Christian. God has given each and every persons the equipment and He expects us to look after this international and its human beings. So do issues that please you by benefitting others. it would not remember if you're making paper or write pc courses. Make the proper conceivable product you could... make existence extra attainable for others, and enable others hardship about backstabbing. there's a minimum of one faith that regards backbiting as a extra grievous blunders than homicide. Your force for excellence will be observed. I easily have had many promotions, and that i have never requested for any of them. I purely favor to do the proper conceivable pastime and make existence extra attainable for others by doing so. And if I knew that the international replaced into ending the following day, there is not any longer something i ought to might want to regulate.

For anyone with bombs exploding around them it is a terrifying ordeal and must feel like the end of the World is nigh. Your question, however, is a weak attempt to disguise your dislike of Christianity and whilst we respect your right to hold your views then you should respect the right of Christians to hold their's. A little tolerance in this World may go a long way to avoiding situations such as that currently happening in Lebanon.

Christians have considered the last days are coming since the dawn of Christianity, as far as I know. That did not stop them doing bad things, or good things, terrible and great things. People are who they are, and will do their stint in whatever circumstances and context. Christianity is a good thing for some people; a tool for others, and a necessity for yet others, and it is a load of bull for many. One point of view does not make the others disappear...

Your absolutely right that is just a wacky assumption that these are the last days, although I wish they were I wouldn't have to go to work on Monday, but this is just the next in a long line, the millennium was the end, Nostradamus' prediction of the end soon followed.

You are obviously a very sad and disturbed muslim with lots of HATE inside you. What you need to do is get rid of this hate as it is eating you up like a poison!
What I see on the News is Shiite, sunny and Kurd muslims HATE each other so much that they kill each other. Is this a religion of peace? They kill each other they kill others, and you say that believing in a God of love is crazy!
Take a long hard look at your self lady!

I guess for the Middle East, war is just another day in a perpetual land of conflict.....after decades of terrorism and required bomb shelters in every building, I guess it would seem silly to the Lebanese that the rest of us think it's the end of times!

I don't think a bunch of nutters running round bleating once again the end is nigh can be put down to christianity.

Oh, I am so glad I've found this question. People have been predicting the end of the world since the beginning of christianity. I recently found this site: http://www.sullivan-county.com/nf0/y2k/bible_ca.htm

It's so funny.

I agree. I'm Jewish, and I know that Israel has the air force to bomb the hell out of Lebanon. These aren't the "End of days", they're the "put the radical extremists back in thier place" ...days.
