You need to talk to her immediately! Have a girls night out, on you of course. Try to get her to seek financial counseling and don't push her into a divorce. She is not emotionally stable enough to deal with that! It might come later, but just not now. Remind her that everyone goes through rough times and her husband is making it worse, but he can be corrected! It is wise that she have re enforcement of stability from friends and family members without being judge mental. Do not offer her financial assistance, though she may ask. This will only keep the husband from doing what is in their best interest. Right now she is extremely overwhelmed and might have some anxiety. She needs to be reminded of the child and what would happen if she was no longer there for him/her. If the bills are as bad as she contends them to be, suggest bankruptcy. It sounds like the husband is dealing with his own demands and needs to seek positive re enforcements from a responsible person. Don't try to fix you friends emotions on your own but do whatever you can to be there for her.

calm down and look at things in another angle.

nos 2 and 3 are being asked for and a gamble that was lost!

the rest is not rare and lots of people here are having it and nothing new or rotten...look at it again please?

yes...no 6 is for you as a friend to talk her out of it.

on second thoughts it might be better if she did it for it'll happen sonner or later if not now! dont think much you can do as a friend in future?

get professional help as problems are common and minor and threatening such for a way out? frankly, death is sometimes better.

sorry just being frank.

As her troubles are not of her own making, and her hubby is blatantly irresponsible, she gets nothing by staying with him. So might as well take her son and move in with her mother. One firm decision and all her problems are reduced. He will either go up or down. If up - which means he has become responsible, then return to him. If not ? then let him drown in the consequences of his own irresponsibility. If not for her own sanity, do it at least for her son's sake.

Such a bad track records, definitely a sad case not complaint. Tell your friend, please never give him a chance anymore. Get out of this relationship before it is too late. That mean a "divorce" with immediate effect. If not, pray hard. Only "GOD" can save him, no others person.

not totally hopeless...just a problem of poverty! The hubby need to behave like a man, get a job and be responsible.

Her life sucks. All that debt he is racking up will become hers. She needs to get out of that relationship or committ suicide.
