I'm wanting to take this guy (whom i like a lot) on a date, which is something i've never done for anyone...ever. It usually works the other way around with me so i'm not an experienced date planner. I mean, i know what i like...but as for him I'm not entirely sure. I live in St. Louis...I'm 20...he's 30...i'm in college...he works...and on top of all this he's fantastic. Great personality, attitude, disposition, very fun to be around, and as an added bonus he's absolutley gorgeous. Sorry...i'll stop. Anyway, I don't have an unlimited amount of money to spend, but at the same time it isn't an issue when it comes to him because i want it to be as perfect as i can get it....anyone care to help? please?

I'm feeling a movie is out of the question just because it involves little conversation...and isn't that the point of a date?

The straight date night is great. Can you afford dinner someplace down on the Landing? A nice dinner followed by a walk along the landing, then a tender good night that does NOT end up in bed (unless you guys are already doing it, then just do it some more).

He works, so homecooked meals are probably not something he gets often. I would invite him over, give him a before dinner drink and light conversation, serve him a great meal and pay tons of attention to him to let him know how special he is. Leave the dishes in the sink and then get comfortable on the sofa or something, have a light snack on the table for you two....and take the night from there. A working man loves a great massage, so maybe you could offer that for his shoulders to ease some tension. During the evening you will learn what things he likes and you can set up the second date to be more city-type, but the first date isn't a dinner-movie thing in this case. I do believe that if you show him a good "home date" you'll capture him faster than if you went golfing or bowling. Good luck.

Hey, im moving to SL in a month, is the scene there fun?
I would say either "striaght date night" ( dinner and a movie), always an easy one. Or try something romantic like a walk on the beach, or the river front in your case. Maybe go up to the arch and sit on the steps and watch the sunset. You could go do something fun like minigolfing, clubbing, laser tag. Go for a drive in the country. Or just spend the evening alone together at home and cook him something, Im sure that u 2 will find more entertainment after dinner also, lol! Good luck.

It sounds cliched but go for something that is social ie gives you the chance to talk to each other without putting any pressure on either of you. Something like bowling or some sort of activity that you both enjoy (sex aside!!) so that you can spend time together without there being any direct pressure on you or him to just sit and talk. Don't get me wrong dinner can be in there somewhere, but that is not the be all and end all, just spend time with each other and enjoy each other's company. Good luck!!

omg he sounds lovely!
go for a nice meal, not a messy meal though, something like a steak, have a nice drink, not too much though, then go for a nice walk in a local park and see how you progress after sitting on a bench under the stars!
if it dont work out send him to England for me !
