HUH?? Exports don't pay sales tax in any state. Alaska has the lowest state taxes -- actually it is a rebate paid to residents -- too much oil money.

The cheapest state to ship something back to the UK? I think that's a difficult question to answer.

I believe most online companies do not charge sales tax for "out of state" purchases, HOWEVER, to ship something to the UK you will need to have them fill out customs forms and I don't know if there are any associated expenses with that. Some states such as Delaware have no sales tax so everything you buy there is tax free.

If you are visiting here and shipping something back to yourself at home in the UK, I would imagine that any discount in shipping price would probably have to be from the northeastern coast of the US, as it is closest to the UK.

With that said, I don't think it matters where you ship from--everything you ship to the UK (along with customs forms) will probably cost about the same no matter if you ship it from California or from New York.

Ok, when you re ask this question...include more information about what you're asking...shipping from the UK? Shipping gifts home to the UK? Shipping within the US? And what does taxes have to do with shipping?
