What is it about makeup?

Question

If you admit you like girls who wear very thick makeup they automatically assume you dont like them without it on!!and that theyre ugly without it.Not true most girls are pretty in their own way!
Also a girl who wears thick make-up will say you only like her makeup and not her but the makeup is part of her cos its her choice to wear it(and if it isnt you can tell!)

a girl should feel comfortable with or without makeup on--it should not matter if they are wearing it because it is what they are on the inside

A womans relationship with make-up isn't just about make-up! Women can sometimes use make-up as a mask, not physically but emotionally. The downside of this is that even if they are the most beautiful girl in the room, they won't have the confidence to go anywhere without it on. If I were you, I wouldn't get involved in the whole make-up thing, but maybe try to concentrate on what's going on underneath! Best of luck.

I just think the girls then have a serious issue with their image if you say you like them with their make-up on and they react in that way. I don't like to wear my make-up thick, but many of my friends & bfs have said I look pretty with or without my make-up.

I don't know, I don't wear makeup so I never really run into that scenario with guys. Most of my boyfriends have told me I look prettier without it anyway. I don't know if that means I put it on badly, but whatever. I think some guys just don't like makeup.

Make-up was invented to bring out your nicest features, not to hide them! First of all, heavy make-up is tacky and women shouldn't really wear that much war paint! And second of all, I don't believe that when men kiss you, they enjoy knowing that they go through all those chemicals just to get to your face.
Boys, don't kid yourselves, we wear make-up mostly to make ourselves feel good because we anjoy looking at a beautiful image in the mirror. And if we like ourselves, we don't really care if you like us, cause we know that there will be someone to like us someday, with or without make-up.

Depends on certain individuals i guess.

For instance in my case, my hubby says i look great with/without makeup. Its a natural thingy. But when i go out with him, he will ask me to put up my makeup. And when i did....haha we would be late for the appointment...well....(*if you catch my drift, wink!)

My belief is makeup if about enchancing your features, make eyes look bigger, hide a pimple, hide your dark circles. More on personal grooming. Not all are blessed with natural beauty you know.

What are the chances of having a laugh with her?
If zero then make-up or not she's not worth asking out. If loads then who cares what she paints her face like?

I wear make-up (not thickly applied tho). I just feel more confident and happy with it on. My boyfriend tells me i look nice without it, but i think i just have a self esteem issue.

I don't wear makeup because i feel I don't need to.
I have nice skin and features so why cover them up.
