Isn't it funny how everybody always uses our saviour's name when they want to 'express' themselves? Why say 'Jesus Christ' when something happens on tv/radio/media and from our fellow brothers and sisters? Should we tolerate this any longer or should we start confronting the culprits?

Why not use "buddah" or "mohhamed''? (no offense!)

(Yes, yes, I know God will deal with them but why allow them?)

You are very right to feel this emotion, as I can tell you are a follower of our Father God. You just have to do your best to set the example, remember "free will" people are going to do and say what they want and some people feel that when we say just what you have stated, we are keeping them from practicing free speech. YOUR actions speak louder than words, show people what AGAPE is they will see how happy and in control you are and ask your secret. James 2:8... GOD BLESS

a good Christian can't administration what something else of the international are doing. yet he CAN administration what he himself does. And if this body of options is taken up by sufficient human beings, then the total international will behave proper. God will act quickly sufficient to rid the international of its undesirable tenants. And He has the skill to do it. So we'd want to continuously stay properly out of it. even as Muslims get disappointed about issues that they imagine are against their faith, by hitting decrease back they're showing that they do no longer have sufficient self assurance of their god to guard himself. that is actual demeaning to Allah.

jesus christ, I can't believe you asked that!!! I was just thinking about how god awful it is when people are blasphemous. I don't know why in gods name they do it. It is an unforgivable sin, and we should definitely confront these god forsaken culprits. My lord, they are just the bane of our existence.

Christ Be With You as you confront the sinners. I hope you don't live in a glass house.

You're on a global site, in Polls and Surveys, no less (did you know there's a Religion and Spirituality section?) asking a question about "Our God." Granted, He is yours and mine, but Budda and Mohammed are the Gods of many Answers users. I think it's only fair to them that I remind you they are here, and you may have offended them with your question.

Your position seems to belittle Budda and Mohammed as being lesser Gods than our God. Believers are believers. Why should we put each other down like that?

Oh thank you for such a sensible question. I so agree with you! I get so peed off when people use our LORD'S name just to express themselves. Come, let's start a campaign to stop these nasty people from carrying on! Yeah, why can't we just use another word that doesn't sound so offensive. Like me, I'll never say the LORD'S name in vain so I just say 'doggone it'. It's jsut much better!

NO, how ever my faith has taught me to be tolerant of others. When they pass from this world and stand at the Gate it may not open for them. They will then suffer the consequences of the actions. I think this will be true of what ever God they pray to or believe in.

I agree!! It's because buddah or mohhamed isn't alive, but Jesus is. I think it is disgusting! It is hurting our Lord and Savior Jesus to hear His name when He hears them take His name in vain. We need to speak up and speak out!!

Hey, it's kind of flattering, in a way. At least we know that Jesus Christ IS God. I always say "where?" when someone says it, and I have told my girlfriend that it bothers me, so she has stopped saying it around me.

if it bothers you so much, don't listen to/watch things that say it. you can't make the entire world change because you don't like what they say. this is imposing your beliefs onto the rest of the world.

btw, I am Christian as well and personally do not say that, but I don't expect everyone else to not say it to make me feel better.

Instead of getting all political about this let us do what we know is right...PRAY about it...pray for those who us his name inappropriatly. If we don't it will just turn in to an arguement and will solve nothing....
