I thought they stopped it at the right place they left it with a cliffhanger, which leaves the audience wanting more and just anticipating the third movies release, it kinda leaves people at the edge of there seats it arises many questions in many of the audiences minds for example:
How did captain barbosa come back to life cause he died in the first one
how are they gonna bring captain jack sparrow back
whats gonna happen with will elizabeth and jack

They stopped it at a good point in the story - my only guff with the second Pirates movie is that they just HAD to combine the second and third films so that the first is like a completely different movie.
And my opinon about this is that Disney is a greedy company that wants to make as much money as they can so instead of creating three separate Pirates stories - they combined the second and third films so that people would HAVE to see the third to get a feeling of closure from the second.
This is why I'm not paying to see the third movie in theaters and why I will wait to buy the second and third films used so that Disney get any more of my money.
Who's with me?!

I was a bit shocked when it ended, but now all I want to do is watch the 3rd one! I think it was just fine the way it ended. And yes, the movie was long, but not too long. I enjoyed it as much as the first one, and I can't wait for the 3rd one!

I cant say where exactly they should've stopped it but i guess it ended th@ way 4 a reason......................so we can all go see the next part.
But anyway, my fave part of the movie is in the final part where Depp sticks a bomb (on a stick) into the 3 pirates' skeleton bodies and pushes 'em back outta da light where they turn back into human body. Oh I couldn't stop laughing.................not only then but all throughout.
P.O.T.C ROCKS!

If you knew what types of movies i usually went to go see..this typically wouldn't be my cup of tea....the only thing that wasn't clear to me was the ending and after my friend explained it to me i am going to rent/buy the first movie and patienly wait for the third

P1 :Elizabeth: definite, the rum is long previous. Jack Sparrow: Why is the rum long previous? P2: look after: Mr. Swann... Governor Weatherby Swann: *Governor* Swann, nonetheless. Do you think of I positioned in this wig to maintain my head heat?

I haven't seen it yet, so thanks for not giving anything away. If they stopped it in what seems like the middle it most likely to pique interest in the third one. It is disney after all.
