those who feel elite?

I mean seriously... in the depths of your heart and soul.. don't you just hope that you see judgement day when they are standing before GOD and Jesus and he sends them to hell as poor black cripled females in a time when blacks were enslaved.

I look forward to that day when I may witness this for all those who are of the belief that they have 'earned' their right to say they are more worthy for life, liberty and happiness over others. And the ones who have no problem benefitting from the greatest economics on the planet while griping about paying for social programs that keep it from becoming a 3rd world country.

Sorry, but this republican idea of abolishing minimum wage really got under my skin. May all of them reap what they are sowing in hell.

I give up. We deserve all that we get then. You ppl are going to make excused for this.... If the min. wage is abolished, corporations will beneift from it and just as their track record has proven with Cafta, Nafta, etc... they WILL NOT put profits back into our economy.

Yes pls judgement day come soon.

The rich get richer and the poor get poorer, and the middle class is dying off. This is the true legacy of St. Ronald Reagan. Crucify me, if you like, but this is the truth.

First off, I believe the government report that states only 2% of the population is making federal minimum wage.

Second, there is NO report that says how many of those 2% are teenagers working summer jobs.

Third, the prvious poster is correct. By placing a mandated MINIMUM on what you can be paid, people will pay you that MINIMUM and use the mandate to show how they HAVE to pay you that much.

Abolishing the minimum wage will RAISE wages. Raising the minimum wage will drag the poor further into poverty.

The minimum wage does proper the lower 5% up but lowers the rest of us down. If it was abolished people could be paid what they are worth. This would allow for more advancement and more hard work.

This is a step to encourage others to do better. Obviously without a little incentive people want always go above and beyond.

I don't know about punishment, but I agree with most of what you say.

The pay for the "elite" few on top of major corporations has gone from about 300 times the pay of average workers to 500 times the pay of average workers, over the course of the last 25 years.

This glaring reality says something is wrong with the economic set-up.

If someone like Bill Gates decides to spend most of his wealth by helping the poorer parts of the world receive better healthcare, then he is an exception.

The tax situation in the U.S. favors corporations that find ways to shelter taxes due by using phony foreign investment gimmicks.

Corporations pay one third of the income taxes, and that is why the U.S. accumulates deficits and keeps adding to an 8.4 trillion dollar national debt.

Until these irregularities are addresses and corrected, it appears the U.S. is on wrong footing.

I leave the punishing to God.

In short, yes. But, who ever told you Republicans are trying to abolish the minimum wage is entirely wrong, and is probably wrong about a lot of other things as well. Be careful who you listen to.

Ha ha... Yes, but only because of jealousy and only for a short time. The "elite" often works very hard and deserves that money.
