Absolutely not. Do NOT go to sleep!

They say that you should be completely relaxed in order to give your 100% to anything that you do.

You must have seen coaches yelling at young athletes on many a playing fields to "Take a breath."

How many times have you seen a pitcher on the mound, taking a deep breath just to get his focus back before throwing a very important pitch! Or a Skier at the top of the hill, about to go down for his winning run, taking deep breaths in quick succession! Or a golfer about to make the most important putt of his game, taking a deep breath! What do you think they are doing?

They are applying a short-cut technique to completely "relax" for that very important task. You cannot do anything successfully unless you are completely relaxed. This is a fact.

Now, in your case, going to sleep is not the answer. Sleep may relax you but it can also give you restlessness and perhaps a bad dream too. Not to mention, it can take you completely off focus.

I would take may be just 45 minutes out these 5 hours that you have. Sit comfortably in a chair. Take deep breaths and relax completely and try to meditate. I would focus on my sales meeting. Visualize getting that important order and walking out of the meeting with something to celebrate.

If you meditate on this task, you would be amazed how easily you can achieve it too.

Its your choice. I vote, meditation!
