Which is the best Broadband Internet package & maybe phone in the UK?

There isn't a best, either NTL or BT are always VERY difficult to get hold of, you have to wait on the phone for about 20 minutes after being passed from person to person, and even then you might well get cut off!
When the service goes well BT is the most expensive so all the other cable companies are cheaper. telewest are supposed to be OK although I have never used them personally!
Anyone apart from BT is cheapest but even paying BT prices does NOT make them any better!
