Hi,
I assume your using some sort of program to upload your website. It could be either two things.
1- You inputed the wrong authentication information for your upload space.
2- The server is down due to network difficulties
Take a look at those possibilities at first, then you can debug later if problems still persist.
If so, contact your webhost to see whats up.

Your server probably has a time out set on uploading, or you yourself might have a upload limit set, time or size wise
