"Yngwie Johann Malmsteen (born Lars Johann Yngve Lannerbäck, June 30, 1963) is a Swedish guitarist, composer and bandleader.
Widely recognized as a virtuoso, Malmsteen achieved widespread acclaim in the 1980s due to his technical proficiency and his pioneering neo-classical metal. Guitar One magazine rated him the third fastest guitar shredder in the world after Michael Angelo Batio and Chris Impellitteri."

Yngvie Who? Yngvie F****n' Malmsteen. I still have that shirt from when I saw him in '86, I think it was.

He's an amazingly talented guitarist who was popular in the 80's and early 90's. He combined classical music with rock and heavy metal.
