i want fast browsing i have sify cable connection i want to free c can u suggest how to do it i have total 140 gb hard disc

As you say your c drive has 18Gb out of a 140Gb harddisk then I would suggest moving some things from your c drive onto one of the others d? e? Or you could backup some things onto a writeable DVD. Or you could just compress some of the files you aren't using very often.

It is usually best to leave the c drive for all the system files and to keep games, music, video etc on the other drives. I think 1 Gb of free space sounds fine, this is mainly for virtual memory but I usually prefer to leave more.

sounds like c is a small partition
uninstall some programs and reinstall them to the other partition
clean out all temp folders.
my dives are C: 40g xp G 80g storage V:20g xp64 Z 80g storage
