I'd say Hollywood greed has finally gone out of control. He's being cast for his looks, not his acting ability. This is one lousy choice, but a huge indicator of where the American film industry is going.

Man you are right on the money. 'Nuff said. Whomever thinks this is a good choice is not a fan of comics or wouldn't know a good actor or actress if they jumped up and bit them in the A$$. He has not had a role that is as complex a character as the Joker, and nobody bring up Brokeback Mountain the only movie in my life that I thought was worse than that was the Passion of the Christ.

I don't see Heath Ledger as a bad guy. Not working for me. Didn't they already do a Batman movie with the Joker in it? Wasn't that Nicholson? No one can hold a candle to him.

I love Heath Ledger as an actor, but he is so not the Joker. I don't know who should play the joker, but it shouldn't be Heath Ledger.

Well, his voice is the absolute best !
If he's as good an actor as they say, he'll be a good Joker.
I don't think looks has anything to do with this role. Jack Nicholson's Joker was butt-ugly, remember?
