Yes! they can be, they just have to make sure that before they are married that any and all cultural and religious beliefs are out on the table and discussed before the wedding.
Don't listen to people who try and tell you differently about something like that.

Yes, it's possible. The real problems will come in with the in-laws. Since each of you was raised in a different culture, both of your parents/grandparents will have their own way of doing things and will probably butt in to your relationship at some point - especially when you have kids.
Just be aware that you may have many headaches from your family/your partner's family and be prepared to stand up and tell everyone to keep their opinions to themselves.

yes, if they studied relationship books and began to learn exactly HOW to make a relationship work. I'd imagine that there are common elements of a good relationship in all cultures - pick 'em out and be happy!

Of course. I have said this often that to make a marriage work we need love, respect and trust.
It takes 2 people hard work to make it work.
Marriage is not just loving someone. It is learning to live with the person for who he is and accepting it whole heartedly.

In my family ... two of my brothers are married to a chinese and a vietnamese. Both of their families are happy. Their children are beautiful .. and what else matter?
