technically, Hip hop is more sing/song lyrical ballad & while rap is more of a spoken lyric style. It depends upon the source but it can be both!

Yes, we know. Personally, I think hip hop is more of a lifestyle than a form of music and that rap is better...more universal.

They aren't but these days rap/hiphop are known as just Hiphop but i'm not saying I agree with that.
Rap is basically someone rhymin & flowin with a beat but
Hiphop is like rap but has a more catchy sound since thats what people buy.
It's hard to describe for some reason.
Ex:
Eminem - Infinite Album = Rap (one of my fav. besides All Eyez on Me)
Eminem - Slim Shady Album = Hiphop

You could have fooled me. On a sunny day in the suburbs listening to it blare noisily, as it vibrates the hell out of every other car it sure sounds the same to me. Same things over and over with a sampling from an 80's song thrown in every once in a while because the artist was too high to come up with his or her own beat that day. Any other questions?

the rap idea is all about beat followed by aryhme but the hip hop is a rhyme with a beat that gose with same ryhmin got the idea? rap is juss bunch of words (MEANLESS WORDS) put together with absoulutly no ryhmin
