The conflict between Arab peoples and Hebrew peoples is centuries old.
They have been fighting each other for dominance over the same territory for a very, very long time.
It's not a rational hatred. You can't really pick out a starting point, and an initial insult that will stand up to challenges by the other side.
That's the reason the whole "peace in the Middle East" thing is so convoluted. You want to work the problem; cause, effect, rational solution. But it's an emotional issue in the end, and as endless as man's ability to hate.
