Just buy any size that you think she might wear and when she gets back she can get it sized if it doesn't fit.

She has to have rings somewhere. Try to get any ring that she might have worn recently and then just take it to get it sized. If that is unavailable then just get it sized according to what you think she might be - if she is very thin and petite w/small hand you might figure she would be a ring size 4 or 5. The best thing to do is probably guess up and then if it's too big you can always have it sized down.

If you have NOT discussed taste in jewelry, I strongly suggest you pick out the ring together after she has accepted the proposal. If you use your taste and she doesn't like the ring, there will be trouble. If she doesn't wear jewelry, you have no way of knowing what she likes...and, she may not like rings at all. Better to discuss this before you go spend a wad of money...used rings have very little value. Don't make a mistake...she will appreciate her being able to pick it out with your approval..I cannot imagine your not approving anything she likes, as long as it is affordable. Good luck

The average size ring for a woman is a size 7, so that's your best guess to go with. If you know that her hands are slightly larger or smaller than average then go a size larger or smaller. The ring can easily be refitted after you give it to her if it's not the correct size.
