My aunt was in Mississippi and didn't have flood insurance because she wasn't in a flood zone. She got lots of water. They got FEMA money and then had to PAY OUT OF POCKET for rebuilding.

Where is your fema and red cross money? I know they GAVE A LOT to the people in New Orleans...more than they gave us in MS.

Try contacting SBA to get a loan from them or check in your local paper to see who you can contact. They should have a lot in there, or even try the new station. They have all that information as well as the city of New Orleans.

Contact your insurance company. They can direct you to funding. Also, there are several web sites where you can apply for private financial aid.
