I just had an interview yesterday and I think it went pretty good. It is a job with alot of responsiblilities (HR Manager) that I have had in past positions so I am good there. I got along with the interview, I would be replacing. Even chatted with some of the employees while she went out to feed the meter. I really want this job badly. I even put my thank you letter in the mail right after I left. My question is should I do anything now? I was given her card to email her if I have any other questions...should I email some? Or send an email thank you too. I don't wanna seem needy or crazy but I do want the job. I am super qualified almost over, so I know I am good in the experience and skills department. I am just so excited and want to do everything right. Any advice is great.

Yep, already sent the Thank You card. And I was told that she has several other interviews (may not be for this position alone) But I should hear back from her in about a week to meet with the CEO, and accountants for a second interview and then it will be determined after that whether they want to hire me for the 2 positions.

Good point pud36 about other interviews she has to do, but as I said she not only has to interview people for position but for other positions on almost a daily bases, for resturants. So I didn't take it as a personal sign that it was a brush off.

Having been through many interviews myself, I can tell you that most of the time when they don't seem interested is when they say at the end that they have other intervewiers they want to consider and they will call after all the interviews are completed. A thank you letter may not be necessary, but there is nothing wrong with asking questions about the job. As far as wanting to get everything right...No matter how much experience you have in a particular area when you are just starting with a company on the bottom of the todem pole you'll always run into diferennt methods of doing things that may or may not be accessable. But it sure sounds good to me that you'll get the job; especially if you felt that you got along well with not only the boss but other employees as well. Don't ever tell anyone how much you make. You can get a reputation fast and get even your most trusted friends very jeoulous where they would be the one with the problem.

Don't seem too pushy, then you might seem like you "need" the job and you don't really "want" it. You said you mailed a thank you letter already so don't do anymore thank yous until you get the job. Did you ask her to call you either way, if you got the job or if not? You can always call in a week or so but not before the week is up incase she's still interviewing for the position. Good Luck.

Yes. Call. Don't e-mail. Hear it in person. Find out why or why not you were chosen. If for no other reason you will have a framework to guide you in your next interview. Contact them once, and no more. If they have something to say they will say it after the first correspondence. You sound like a great employee to me, I'd hire you. The point is, learn from the experience. If you are not hired, don't dwell on it. Continue. Learn from it and move on. You seem motivated and bright. Sometimes things have a way of finding the right path. Good luck.

That you have done well in the interview should help you to get the job. Wait at least for a fortnight. Best of luck.

Sit and wait. Patience is a virtue. You already sent a thank you note, any more could make you seem pushy or annoying.
