To start with, if I were you, I'd begin with a sheer color lipstick, perhaps in a plum or brown color, a bit of blush, and one eyeshadow color. This will get you used to wearing it. Once you are:
Foundation: If your aunt is a mary kay consultant, then let her find one that works for you. It should disappear into your skin, and it's very hard to tell what to use just from the bottle or compact. You might not want to wear this everyday though, especially if you sweat from working out with your cheerleading squad.
Blush- a little along the cheekbone will do ya. Pull it forward, don't start in the front or you'll look like a rosy cheeked santa claus. I'd go with a shade just a little darker than your skin.
lips: which is more important to you? Shine, or long lasting? If you want to put it on and forget about it, about the best thing you can use is L'oreal endless color. (about eleven dollars for a tube that lasts forever.) You can add more shine by putting a non petroleum gloss over the top. The best lip gloss I have found anywhere is from Avon, believe it or not. All of their glosses are smooth, not sticky. (between two and six dollars) They have a catalog aimed at your age group called "Mark". Best news is, they're always having sales. The catalog has application tips, as well.
Eyes: I prefer Revlon's cream eyeshadow because I wear hard contacts. (six dollars for four pots in one compact) It comes in a lot of colors, and you can even apply it with your finger. You should use the darkest color to the outer corner, and put lighter colors on the inside corner, and near the browline. If you're in a hurry, a lot of brands have come out with "mousse" shadows- sheer color in a pot. There's no way you'll use too much. This is good for an everyday look. You don't have to use eyeliner at all if you don't want to. You can actually just use the very tip of an eyeshadow brush, and apply a thin line of shadow. For a comfortable liner, though, i reccommend a soft crayon type that doesn't need sharpening. Best again is Avon- Glimmersticks. (six dollars each, but usually can be bought on a two for one basis.) Even if you do poke yourself in the eye, it won't hurt. I'd just stick to a plain black for everyday, and go for a metallic for formal occasions. To get really dramatic, you could just line your eye with white liner, and stop. This looks so good on darker ladies and is so easy. Don't curl your eyelashes. It just looks unnatural and contributes to the overly made up factor. if you want to use mascara, just swipe it once across your top lashes and you're done.
Hope this helps. Have fun with it!

Let me just say less is more stick with one feature either eyes or lips to play up and the other keep it simple. As far as eyeliner and mascara goes you probably will poke yourself in the eye a few times but the more you do it you'll learn. I don't curl my lashes they are curly enough which I hate. But anyway my best advice would be don't go to department stores and buy that expensive makeup I used to spend like $25 or $30 on one compact at MAC now I use Cover Girl and I can do a whole face eyes and lips with $30. People always tell how pretty my makeup looks now more than what they did when I wore MAC. Also while you are out for school look around at other girls that look your age and get Ideas and practice some looks before going back to school.

well, i'm 16 and just started wearing make up. Honestly I think youre too young because the earlier u start wearing make up the faster your skin ages. But if you really wanna take that risk, don't use cheap stuff. I use mac which is kind of on the expensive side but if you want to go a cheaper route baked essentials is a really good line. I just use bronzer, eyeshadow, and masscara for the most part. If you don't want to use a eyelash curler then i would suggest using the XXL mascara by mabalene. for brown eyes you can use almost any colors but if i were u i would start out slow using natural colors like browns and gold. and maybe even a mild pink just to add some color. I know this is long but i hope it helps. feel free to contact me *nlczubin@yahoo.com* P.S. every person i talked to who has tried mary kay has broken out (my mom use to sell it also) if you have a ulta in your area that would be great they'll have everything you need and they'll show u what will work for your skin and what wont +they'll teach you to do your make up for free

Yo. I'm in 9th grade. =] And I've wore make up for 2 years. Yeah.. and a word of advice, if you don't have any skin problems -aka- acne. don't use liquid foundation, even if it's supposed to be good for your skin, cause I mean it makes your skin look so gross. Lol. Especially since your wearing it during school, cause some brands start to wear off, and if you go to reapply it it's going to clog your pores cause your supposed to wash your face before you put your make up on. Yeah, but um.. I think you should learn to put on eye liner. I wear mine on the bottom. But since it's complicated for you I'd recommend wearing brown eyeshadow wear you would put your eyeliner. Just swip a little across there, to wear it's visable, and as far as that goes your good. And the BEST masscara is Volume Flash it's maybe $5 or $6, not bad. Put it on your top and bottom lashes. Then take one of those little eye lash burshes and after it's dried brush through it a little. It's awesome.

just some eyeliner, concealer, mascara and some lipstick or tiinted lip balm. You don't want to look different with make up but just hide some flaws and enhance your natural beauty!❤️ I am also 13 and going into 8th grade but dont wear any make up because i dont that bad problems but acne.

Hi girl, 13 is not a good time to start with make up. I think you should wait for another 2yrs. At least at 15 you can start thinking about it... but anyway if it's for school purposes then, I think you should go and see a beautician who will have to examine your skin and see whether you have oily or dry skin first then after you can ask them to prescribe something for you as your skin is too young and can react to some products, so prescribed product will do justice. Good luck with your project hope you pass.

I think you answered your own question... Your aunt would definitely be able to help you choose the right colors for your skin tone and eye color, as well as the right products to use for your skin type. And, because she's family she might give you a discount if you choose to use Mary Kay.

I think you should use loreal for your fase at your age because it looks so clear and you can hardley tell it's there. First you should use foundation then some powder and you'll look radiant. For everything else i suggest mary kay and you said you aunt sold it so thats great! I'm not sure about price ranges for loreal, but you can find it at walmart. and for mary kay, just ask you aunt! have fun with it!
