I would suggest you start by writing a list of short term goals that you want to accomplish over the next six months. I would certainly start small. For example, your list may include taking a course at a community college, joining Toastmasters (public speaking organization) or getting a job at WalMart. It doesn't matter what's on your list as long as the goals are realistic and you work towards them everyday.

Also, try to change your setting. IF you have friends that negative and not doing much with their lives, find people who are positive, have goals and want to get ahead.

Try not to focus so much who your past mistakes (but learn from them). I think there will be someone who will give you a chance. Take baby steps and see where it leads you...

Just keep working toward your goals no matter what, make sure that you get the proper training or schooling needed for the job and use that to out shine the fact that you have a past obstruction. And by all means be honest. Get super references that can back you up as an outstanding person. Good luck to you hon!

Obstruction of Justice? That means you interfered with something the legal system was trying to do. Unless you were hiding a felon or something, I don't think that would hurt you. By the time you finish school, hopefully without any further legal issues, shouldn't be a major issue. Completing the education and teaching credentials should be proof you turned yourself around.

what is obstruction? I am clueless....what type of teaching job are you looking for? Pre-school, secondary, post secondary? college? What? That would help me give you better advice.

If you volunteer, or get a job, keep it for a while, and have good references, like that girl said.

just try to be good and prove you are good person, and prepare for the future job you wanted, no other ways!
