It would depend on why I'm setting them free. I don't believe in keeping someone that doesn't want to be kept so if they don't want to be in a relationship with me then I'm not going to try to make them stay or want to.
I recently let my boyfriend go, but we're still together, he had to go away for a while and take care of some business and I'm behind him even though it hurts me, I know it's for the best.

Yes I am doing it right now. It's hard but I know things for us in the future will never work out the way I want them too.

That my friend, is quiet possibly the hardest decision, that a person that is truly in love will ever make. It hurts you down to places you didn't think were there. But like a very wise person told me once, "If it was meant to be, it will be".

of course!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! especially if that someone has ask you his freedom. theres nothing you can do but to accept the fact that some things are not just meant to be.
If he is gonna be happy when you set him free, then let it be.
