Windows Mobile 5 Development: Notifications?

Question

I googled for Notifications functionality for Windows Mobile, but I did not find anything helpful? I want the notification window to automatically appear when the phone has establish a connection to a server. Could any provide a simple example of how might this be done? Thank you.
