Where abouts do you live? My best guess would be a wolf spider. Can't be a tarantula, hanging from a bit of silk like that. Too light and too many markings to be a roaming spider.

Not good. I think, this is my best guess because of the distance the picture is, that its a wolf spider.

If that looks like the spider that you took a picture of, you should stay away from it. These are rather common, but are still poisonous. If there are many of these, I'd call an exterminator.

I'm a little creeped out from just the photo, lol. Be Careful!

I don't think that is a brown recluse, one way to tell is that a brown recluse has a fiddle or violin shape on the back, but definately one that you would want to stay away from. If you took this pic, you might want to get with conservation and check with them for species and variety and level of toxicity. Remember, there is no such thing as a non poisonous spider. They all carry some level of venom, some just don't have the equipment to bite humans or the venom is not toxic enough to be a problem. Bottom line.........leave them alone..............or squish them.

holy-moly that is one gigantic spider!!!! it is probably a brown recluse and you should stay away from them, the poison from their bits makes your skin die and fall off. i have heard it can make hands and feet fall off but have never seen any proof of this. still that spider is big enough to bite your head off if he wanted to.
