I have just been told that my relationship with my best mate is officially over, but I've already had a shot of whiskey, and am just not feeling right within myself.
My problem is that I try too dam hard to impress women and then it just comes back to bite me on the ****, this time in the biggest way possable!

I just feel sad and angry within myself and stresses of school dont help this situation.

So my question to EVERYONE is.
Am I just recovering from the shock or is there something more seriously wrong eg: depression and I haven't realised it or suicidal thoughts? I even looked in the knife draw and said to myself, "that one may only just do it"

HELP ME NOW TO HELP MYSELF.

thanks in advance for the good answers.

if you just recently found out it was over, then it will take a while to recover. its really good that you realize that something might be wrong...most people wouldnt see that..they would just turn to drugs or alcohol.if you continue feeling this way (or it gets worse) i definately reccomend getting some help. is there a friend or relative that you could talk to about how your feeling? i bet it would help you to recover. please, dont do anything that youre pretty sure youll regret..trust me, it WILL get better.

as for the ladies..dont try to impress them. most of us just want you to be yourself.

good luck. i really hope you feel better soon.

Okay..You wanted to ***** to me in an e-mail because my answer wasn't Good enough for you? Its my turn. How about you go to a doctor, or a therapist and talk to a professional. The information you provided isn't really that much. I don't know why your relationship with you and your girlfriend fell apart. Probably because you were a critical bastard or nothing was ever "Good enough" for you. There are more women in this world then there are men. You will find another one. Probably someone better. So back to my original answer.. Yes you sound depressed.. And yes it sounds like you are still in shock because your relationship ended.
I'll be nice and add more.
I'm sure you will get over it in time and find someone new, everyone does, It always hurts like a ***** when you break up with someone. The best you can do is try to get over it in a positive way and not to be self-destructive. Meaning, don't drink your sorrows away, and don't hurt yourself.

Suicide is not the answer! Even if you are clinically depressed, there are treatments that work! You can get better! More likely you are just going through a lot of stress and the shock of losing an important relationship. Either way, please get professional help. It is not a weak thing to do, it is the right thing.

A psychologist I used to see, told me: "Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem." You WILL get over this girl and move on to someone else. It may take a while but it will happen.
In the meantime you can take the advice that's already been offered because it's sounds like good advice to me.

i think it's just shock. It will take days to go away, but it will. Think of how many other disappointments you (or people you know) have had; how many are still thinking about them now?

it'll take a little time to climb back out of this rut you're in...because it is uphill.
