When I was younger I dated this guy, lost my virginity to him, and he cheated on me a year later. We went our separate ways, and shortly after, I found that I was attracted to his younger brother. Well, I married him ten years ago. As the years go by I find myself dreaming at night about their older brother (who is like ten years older than me). Is there something wrong with me?

Whoa, let me rephrase. I was fifteen when I dated the first brother, nineteen when I started dating my husband (of whom I love more than anything in the world). Just to clarify, I hate the oldest brother, always have. I just don't understand why I have dreams about him. Consciencely, the only person I love and am attracted to is my husband.

You are really too much , no harm to fantasize , but please control your desire , or you may find no place for yourself , do what ever you want to do , but safe and keep your married life intact .

There is a really good movie out there that is about 10 years old called Inventing the Abbots. Its about this guy who is love with one of the Abbot daughters and his brother dates and sleeps with jsut about all of them and the emotional toll it takes on them all. I would suggest checking it out. Its not a dirty film, it can be found in the drama sections and stars Jenniffer Connely and Liv Tyler. It might help you gain a little perspective and insight. Some movies do that for me. So what if its Hollywood, it gets you thinking.

You can't control your dreams at night, but you can control your thoughts during the day, which could contribute to your dreams at night. You remember how much it hurt when the first brother, as I shall refer to him, cheated on you. Don't hurt your husband the same way, even if only in your head.

I don't think it's unusual to be attracted to brothers, because they probably have many qualities in common. HOWEVER. Please try to keep a lid on it and keep it to yourself. If you do anything to act on this attraction, it will not just hurt your husband, but may damage or destroy his relationship with his brother. Focus on your marriage, that is the commitment you made for life.

Just be happy that your husband loves you, don't ruin it all on a fantasy.
