A few weeks ago I went out for a walk after midnight. I live in a safe neighborhood, so it's all good (but I always take a heavy lead pipe just in case).
I got back and walked towards the gate that led into my backyard when I heard a LOT of noise coming from the other side of the fence. Way too much noise to be made by a rat or a cat. Big rustling noises like a person was climbing over the ivy-covered fence. I just stood and listened while that cold sinking feeling of dread creeped into me.
I opened the garage and got in that way by using the key that I keep hidden. I dropped my lead pipe, busted out my Smith & Wesson stainless steel 10MM handcannon, and loaded a round into the chamber. I grabbed my Mag Light and went hunting. But even though I was armed, I was nervous.
I went back out to the backyard gate, entered quickly and the hunt was on! Nobody was there. So I quietly walked through the backyard and around to my pool deck. Still nothing. After I rounded the other side of the house, I heard a big noise by the front yard fence.
Flashlight up, gun aimed, I went right for the noise which was getting MUCH louder! By the time I got to the fence it was on the other side and running along the fence towards my orchard. As I followed it along my side of the fence I saw it run through the ivy bank.
A raccoon. A damned burglar-faced raccoon. a NOISY raccoon!!!
I went inside and called it a night. The next week I saw a whole family of the little buggers in my neighbor's yard.

About 4 years ago when I brought my house I got a guy to rent a room out to help with bill and stuff. He start pissing out the window leave the house door wide open, which scare me because I had been sexually assaulted as a child. I told him to go.
After a lot of trouble I got him out but he keep coming back at night all yell in my window. He stole stuff and cut the hot water cable. I was so scare for a few month, as I was then living on my own and my dog had died.

On Saturday on a really high ride at an amusement park. Actually, it really wasn't that high, but it didn't stop me imagining every possible way I could fall out of that thing. When I got off the ride I had cramp in my hands because I had held on so tight and I didn't get a wink of sleep that night because I kept thinking about how close I came to death, even though death was nowhere near!
I can't stand having this stupid fear of heights, it makes me so irrational. By the way, I had my 3 year old daughter next to me on the ride, so you can imagine just how safe this ride really was and how much of a chicken I really am!
