It's not. Some people are just afraid of change. People have been saying that for generations. Ask yourself, where would we be without electricity or other advances. Life is certainly more complicated but I think the positives outweigh the negatives.

In the past you said the past was better, but then the past wouldn't be better than now. So your theory about the past being better is wrong.

it would depend on the genre you were accustomed to. the music, events, things, etc... you grew up with. you were familiar to those things because you connected a memory with each moment of it. techno-gadget of today are far-better than the past, definitely... can you compare it as lest than the past? absolutely not...
so you see, there are some things better now yet to you some are better in the past... ciao...

I think because you know FOR SURE that its not gonna change. It's not the same with NOW or future. ITs all unknowns that makes it li'l less desirable than the sure things. This happens when you are going through a rough patch.

Because the scariest thing in life is not knowing.
You know the past .. its the future that everyone is unsure of.
Live like everyday is your last and you won't worry so much about the past or the future.

things were cheaper,wall you needed was a persons word as insurance, people helped each other, people were patrotic, less crime, even the crimnals were some waht civalized.
