Pursuit of a dream is great, whether or not one achieves the dream, is something else. The odds are not good, but, everyone has a shot a chance at the brass ring. Go for your dream.

First of all, congratulations on your acceptance! That in itself is a remarkable achievement. I believe that people should definitely pursue their dreams, but they should be realistic about the hard work involved. Every one has self-doubt, but you should use self-doubt to motivate you to work even harder. Even if in the end you decide the "dream" isn't for you, you'll have learned a lot along the way.
Theatre training can prepare you for so many other aspects of life. The ability to effectively communicate with an audience - whether that audience is 1,000 people in a theatre or 12 people in a corporate boardroom - is a very good skill to have.
And if nothing else, Interlochen's academics are top-notch, so if you do well you'll be able to pursue any number of avenues upon graduation.

Well, there will probably always be theatre around in some form (as it's been around for thousands of years), but its popularity is waning pretty fast, thanks largely to movies (why go to watch actors in a play that can only do a performance once a night, when you can go to one of many theaters to watch actors doing stuff on the silver screen?)
On the other hand, theater is also a good skill to have if you want to move into the movie industry later, but you better be good, and apparently good looking as well.
If this is what you want, go for it. Just know that you're going into a career that won't pay much (for the most part), and you won't get the same kind of fame that a Hollywood actor/actress gets.

Sounds like you are in doubt, maybe you should wait and figure out what you truly want, instead of what you think you want, mature a little before taking a leap into something that you don't know if you're ready for, and as far as pursuing dreams, yes everyone should pursue their dreams, but only after they figure out what their dream is and what their passion and purpose in life is for.

Pursue your dreams and reach for the stars!!!
I might be one of your fans one day!!!
Never be afraid to fail because only in failing can we stand again. And because we've learned from the fall, then when we stand, it's gonna be up, up, and away!!!
If you stop there, you will never be completely happy because deep down inside, you know you should have pursued what you really want.
Good luck!

If you got into Interlochen, you obviously have talent. And you'll never know whether you have what it takes to make it if you don't try. So go for it! Don't be afraid of rejection.

Opportunity is multiplying all the time! In acting there are new, wider frontiers. Legitimate theatre in particular is ripe for a harvest of new methods and new talents not even imagined yet.
