in the US the advertisers show it as the overwhelming drink of the country as though its the only one or something.I've heard that its really not that highly touted over there, just another brand, an advertising ploy.

No it's not, and you would be hard pressed to find it on-tap anywhere either. It was popular maybe 10-15 years ago but most Aussies tend to either drink Tooheys, Carlton or Victoria Bitter (I'm a VB girl). Unless you drink bottled or boutique beer.

Queenslanders are fond of their own brand 'XXXX' - and alot of people from out of the state believe it's because they can't spell beer!

I guess you all drink Bud over there right?

Oversweet gnat's pi*s! We pay attention approximately Fosters at some carrying activities and persons seem to drink it in the united kingdom yet no-one in Australia does. It grow to be usual as quickly as even though it has lengthy previous the way of KB lager in Sydney. human beings want drier beers. There are some super beers in Australia and fairly some pubs brew their very very own. the main usual beer in the rustic may be Victoria bitter, VB yet I want Melbourne bitter of the Victorian beers. Coopers from South Australia, Cascade and Boags from Tasmania and Tooheys and Reschs from NSW are all very drinkable with Coopers, Cascade and Boags in all probability the desirable of the main beers. Queenslanders drink XXXX (Fourex), South Australians have West end and Southwark and WA has Swan and Emu. All are drinkable. There are 2 significant mid-power beers Carlton Mid and Fourex Gold and distinctive easy beers. Cascade is the desirable of the lighting fixtures fixtures accompanied via Hahn and in case you haven't any longer any decision, Fosters Lite. a favored minutiae question: "in case you watch Neighbours and drink Fosters, what nationality are you?" the respond is British.

They can't stand the stuff, I reckon that's why they export it.
Popular ones are VB, Melbourne, Tooheys, Carlton and Crown.
