If someone is stalking your family and the local police won't do anything about it, you need to go a step higher. Contact your county Sheriff's office, and the the State police. Explain how your local police will not take you seriously.

There's nothing you can do becuase phone tapping (if that is what you mean) is a violation of the "lady's: right to privacy but if her stalking is really serious you should report the incident to another police preccint or district and ak help if the cops in your area doesn't do anything. Try asking the cops why they don't do anything.

Stalking you mean. Get a restraining order and if this lady is within so many feet of your family then the cops will do something about it. Usually they won't arrest someone who has NO restraining order against them just for stalking because they haven't done any harm YET.

Legally, all you can do is wait until she gets nuts enough to kill you... basically, the only way a cop can stop a murder is after you're dead, and the only way they can stop someone from stealing, is after it's stolen... get it? The law isn't going to do much for you except tell you to wait until your assaulted, or dead, so I take the law into my own hands, you obviously need to also, before she hurts you or your family, no matter the consequences of physically telling her to back off, it would be in no comparison to facing the consequences of her actions of violence. Understand? You need to get to her before she gets to you, unfortuanatly, that's how the world works

cops listen but can't do anything. keep reporting her. there isn't much else you can legally do.
