Liberties aren't given. Everyone is born with them. Governments take them away, and so do other people who try to dominate or control others.
Some people just can't handle their own liberty without stepping on someone else's. That's why we have laws, at least in theory: to protect those of us who can enjoy our liberty from those who would take it from us.
The question is, what do you do when someone tries to take your liberties away? The Founding Fathers knew.

Right! We are born with liberties and the law just protects them. Without liberty, we couldn't make our own decisions or act on our own thoughts. We couldn't live life without being told what to do by someone else.

Are we talkin' liberties such as assured by the US Constitution? They aren't given dude...they are assured, through such instruments as the US Constitution that they, because they are God given, won't be taken away.
Are you aware Rainman, that without the right to free speech, as laid out in the 1st Amendment..(see below)..******* like you would be forbidden to speak out??
Hmmm..maybe you have a point!
Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

Romans 8;2, The law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has
made me free from the law of sin and death.
The key word is free here. It is biblical to seek and cherish
liberty.
I Corinthians 1;38a, Love never fails!!!!!
