This is a tricky question, with no short, easy answer. I have been a Christian for most of my life, with a relapse or 2. When my ex husband and I split up, I turned back to the church. It was very hard on me, knowing that divorced people are looked upon as sinners. But I finally found where it says in the Bible says that if either the husband or the wife cheats on their spouse, the spouse should divorce the cheater. (I was cheated on) Even if this is not the case with your parents, it's ok. Anyone can be forgiven, for anything that they have done, if they are truly sorry and wish to be forgiven by God. And of course, they have to ask for his forgiveness, for their wrongs. The only way to get to heaven, is to "pledge" your life to Jesus, admitting your sins, asking forgiveness, and living for Christ. It's not easy to live in a Christian manner all of the time, but since we are human, we are not perfect. That is the scariest part, to me, about being a Christian, and going to Heaven. That some of my loved ones may not be there, because they haven't realized they need Jesus, and asked for forgiveness. Just pray for your parents, daily. Ask Jesus to make them willing to listen to you, about your concerns. Obviously you have been raised with someone who is religious, or found it on your own. Hopefully you are of an age that your parents will listen to your concerns and fears. If they don't want to listen, or "blow you off", keep praying for them, and don't quit. And don't worry. God answers prayer, sometimes he just waits for HIS timing, not ours. Keep the faith. I will be praying for you and your family, too.

People aren't supposed to get divorced, but it happens. There are specific reasons that are in the Bible which clearly state when divorce or seperation can occur - infidelity, verbal/physical abuse, and the like. Your parents aren't sinners because they divorced, they obviously felt that it was healthier for them and you if they split up.
You are right about us needing to ask forgiveness to go to heaven. Just because they got a divorce doesn't mean that they can't go to heaven - both of them are eligible.

Divorcing is not a sin. Its sometimes the right choice some parents make. Sinners go to hell only if they dont confess their sins to god. No ones perfect. People can change. Dont forget that. :)
